NEW TO KALEIDOSCOPE THIS YEAR! We are thrilled to be offer workshops for LGBTQ+ filmmakers as part of our programming for the Kaleidoscope LGBTQ+ Film Festival this year! It is FREE to attend these workshops but you must register in advance. Registration is below.

Mark Thiedeman leads a casual conversation about creating work that stands out in an age of saturated content.  As our culture is driven towards narratives that appeal to notions of identity and representation, similar stories are told to the point of redundancy, which has been the case throughout the history of LGBTQ+ filmmaking.  In a workshop aimed at inspiring young filmmakers to speak their individual truth, he discusses the importance of drawing from specific personal experiences to create work imbued with a strong sense of self.  Bring a pen and a notebook -- we're about to start creating!
